As part of our commitment to partner with our patients to achieve the highest level of health, UC San Diego Health invites feedback from our patients and families on all aspects of their patient experience. UC San Diego Health contracts with an independent patient survey company, Press Ganey. Press Ganey works with more than 10,000 health care organizations nationwide, including 50 percent of all U.S. hospitals, to improve clinical and business outcomes.
The Medical Practice survey is emailed to UC San Diego Health patients within a few days of their appointment. Patients are asked to provide feedback on a 20-question survey and comment regarding specific aspects of care. We use this feedback to improve all aspects of the clinic experience. Our goal is to provide patients and families exceptional health care. Each year we hear back from nearly 19,000 patients who receive care in our outpatient centers. We are committed to posting positive and negative feedback. However, we do not post comments that are libelous, slanderous, profane, or those that risk the privacy of our patients.
