Advances in Robot-Assisted Surgery

Our surgeons performed the region's first robot-assisted gastrectomy, a potentially lifesaving procedure to remove a section of the stomach after a gastric cancer diagnosis. They are also using robot-assisted surgery to treat patients with cancer of the esophagus.

Moores Cancer Center is recognized worldwide for its development of novel cancer treatments, including HIPEC (heated chemotherapy) treatment for advanced abdominal cancers.
