Love in Every Drop

The University of California Health Milk Bank is a developing non-profit milk bank. We have partnered with Mothers’ Milk Bank at Austin (Texas) to enable mothers to donate locally until we open in late summer 2020.

What is a Milk Bank?

A milk bank accepts donated frozen mothers’ milk and processes it to provide a safe pasteurized human milk product for hospitalized or fragile children.

Who Can Donate?

Healthy mothers who have 100 ounces or more of extra frozen milk are welcome to contribute.

How Do I Get Started?

Donors must be pre-approved. Contact Mothers' Milk Bank Austin to begin donating at 512-494-0800 or toll free at 877-813-MILK (6455). Once approved, you will need to contact us to drop off your milk.

Contact UC Health Milk Bank at sdmothersmilk@health.ucsd.edu for questions or to donate milk to research.
