Our midwives can be found in clinics throughout San Diego. Our patients have the option of giving birth in either La Jolla or Hillcrest, and in the home-like atmosphere of our Birth Centers, or in traditional Labor & Delivery rooms.

bullet Prenatal Screening and Genetic Counseling

No matter who you choose for your care provider, UC San Diego Health's maternal-fetal care and genetics specialists will perform ultrasound screenings using the latest imaging technology. We also provide prenatal and genetic counseling, amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling (CVS), and fetal growth assessments, when appropriate.

bullet Specialized Care for High-Risk Pregnancies and Multiples

Twin Babies

If your pregnancy needs specialized care, our team is ready to assist. We are experts in a wide range of complex maternal-fetal conditions, and will work with you to achieve a healthy pregnancy. Among the conditions we treat are pregnancies of twins and other multiples, fetal anomalies, or maternal conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, or lupus.
