Neurointerventional Radiology

Neurointerventional radiologists use microcatheter techniques to treat:

  • Thrombolysis in acute stroke
  • Aneurysms with microcoils
  • Embolization of arteriovenous malformations
  • Intracranial head and neck tumors

They also perform percutaneous biopsies of the spine, head and neck, discograms, vertebroplasty, epidural and nerve root injections.
