COVID-19 update: Our sports medicine doctors and athletic trainers are seeing patients. Video visits are available for many appointment types. UC San Diego Health offers expert sports medicine at all levels of care. We have primary care physicians with fellowship training in sports medicine who can help you stay healthy and prevent injury and disease. We also offer world-class surgical care for all types of sport and orthopedic injuries, as well as rehab and athletic training. 

We are a recognized international leader in musculoskeletal imaging, which is key for a correct diagnosis and surgical planning, and we are active in stem cell therapy and research for sports applications.
