Our reconstructive urologists are experts in treating the urinary tract and its organs — kidneys, bladder, urethra, ureters, external genitalia, testis — after traumatic injury.

Traumatic events that can damage reproductive organs and/or the urinary system include:

  • Sports related accident
  • High speed auto accident
  • Blunt force trauma
  • Penetrating injuries, such as a gunshot wound
  • Forceful blow to the abdomen when the bladder is full
  • Forceful blow to the testis
  • Surgery

  • Difficult or painful urination
  • Bloody discharge

  • Loss of fluids
