Patient Experience Surveys

Star ratings are displayed on a provider's profile after NRC Health receives a minimum of 30 survey responses within the past 12 months. This provides balance and ensures that the data is statistically valid.

Some patients who receive care at UC San Diego Health are selected to receive a survey from NRC Health after a visit or procedure.

NRC Health surveys are distributed by email and through phone outreach. This process ensures that all feedback comes directly from patients who have been treated by our providers.

The survey is voluntary and confidential. Comments displayed on our website are anonymous. No patient names or contact information will be displayed.

We post both positive and negative comments from patient surveys. NRC Health manually screens the comments to eliminate private patient information, foul language and irrelevant information.

Star ratings are based on patient responses to the question "How likely would you be to recommend this provider to your family and friends?" This question is asked about both visits to medical practice and visits conducted by telehealth.

Location-based star ratings are based on how patients respond to the question "How likely would you be to recommend this facility?" This question is asked on surveys about our Emergency Care, Urgent Care and Express Care locations.
