Postpartum Care and Visiting New Families

Baby on Mothers Chest

Most mothers and new babies recover in the Family Maternity Care Center. We practice family-centered care, where fathers and support people are welcome. We encourage parents to bond with their infants through rooming in and caring for their newborn.

Level III Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

Baby in NICU

If your baby needs extra help, our regional neonatal unit is just down the hall. If you are experiencing a high-risk pregnancy, it may be reassuring to know that your baby need not be transported to another hospital. Our NICU also offers highly experienced lactation consultants through the Supporting Premature Infant Nutrition (SPIN) program.

Breastfeeding Assistance

Woman Breastfeeding

We're committed to supporting families who choose to breastfeed, and our hospital has been certified "Baby-Friendly" because of our practices that support nursing moms.
