Molecular Tumor Board

Tumor boards are meetings where physicians and other providers meet to discuss specific cancer patients and advise each other on the best treatment plans.

We have initiated a new, leading-edge type of tumor board. It includes patients with all types of cancer, whose tumors have been analyzed with advanced genomic diagnostic tests. The Molecular Tumor Board, working with our Center for Personalized Cancer Therapy, enables us to translate the strong science at UC San Diego Health into recommendations for individuals in active treatment.

The Molecular Tumor Board includes expert physicians and world-class scientists, including medical oncologists, surgeons, radiation therapists, researchers, geneticists and pathologists.
