Exams, Screenings & Vaccinations
UC San Diego Health offers all standard OSHA tests required by an employer or potential employer as a condition of employment.
We have three clinic locations and offer on-site services, meaning our healthcare professionals can come to you to perform any necessary exams, screens or vaccinations.
The confidentiality of your health information is respected and protected.
Services
- Immunizations
- Drug screens
- Audiograms (hearing tests)
- TB testing
- Vision exams
- Spirometry (lung function) testing
Because most health insurance companies only cover procedures and exams that are deemed "medically necessary," payment is due at the time services are rendered. Our occupational medicine services are offered on a cash-only basis.
Bloodborne Pathogens and Needlestick Prevention
We offer confidential programs for individuals who have been stuck by a needle or other sharp object or who have been exposed to blood or body fluids, including:
- Comprehensive risk assessment and counseling
- Exposure information
- HIV testing
- Antiretroviral medication options
- Hepatitis B vaccination
- Hepatitis B and C screening
- Specialist referral and coordination
