Rosalind B. Dietrich, M.B., Ch.B., F.A.C.R., and Roland Robert Lee, M.D., FACR, of University of California, San Diego (UCSD) School of Medicine were inducted as fellows in the American College of Radiology (ACR) in a recent convocation ceremony during the annual ACR conference in Washington, D.C.

“We are very pleased that Roland Lee and Rosalind Dietrich have been named Fellows of the American College of Radiology, a degree only awarded to 10% of all radiologists,” said William G. Bradley, Jr., M.D., Ph.D., F.A.C.R., chair of the Radiology Department at UCSD Medical Center.

Dietrich is MRI medical director at UCSD Medical Center.  She is on the Executive Committees of the American Society of Pediatric Neuroradiology and the Society for Pediatric Radiology, and is a member of the American Society of Neuroradiology and the California Radiological Society.

Lee is director of Magnetoencephalography (an advanced, non-invasive, functional brain imaging technique) and Head and Neck Imaging at UCSD Medical Center.  He is also chief of MRI and Neuroradiology at the Veterans Affairs San Diego Healthcare System and professor of radiology in residence at the UCSD School of Medicine.

Lee is a reviewer for the American Journal of Neuroradiology and is an ad hoc reviewer for the NIH (National Institutes of Health) study section on Biomedical Imaging Technology.  He is author and editor of the book, Spinal Imaging, and has authored several book chapters and peer-reviewed articles.

The ACR is a national nonprofit association serving more than 32,000 radiologists, radiation oncologists, interventional radiologists, nuclear medicine physicians and medical physicists with programs focusing on the practice of radiology and the delivery of comprehensive health care services.
