Deepak Chopra, MD, Champions Integrative Medicine at UC San Diego on July 22

The Center for Integrative Medicine (CIM) at UC San Diego Health System welcomes Deepak Chopra, MD, for a special program on July 22, 2013.  One of the top 100 Heroes and Icons of the 20th Century according to Time Magazine, Chopra is credited as “the poet-prophet" of integrative medicine. Event participants will engage in an inspirational, interactive evening with Chopra and have the opportunity to meet the CIM team.

Chopra is the Founder of The Chopra Foundation and Co-Founder of The Chopra Center, as well as author of more than 75 books with numerous New York Times bestsellers, translated into more than 35 languages. 

“We are honored to have Dr. Chopra join us in our efforts to transform health by modeling and promoting whole-person wellness in all aspects of life,” said Michael Kurisu, DO, integrative medicine physician and clinical director of CIM at UC San Diego Health System. “Dr. Chopra has been a pioneer in bridging ancient healing wisdom with modern science. This philosophy is shared by the university’s Center for Integrative Medicine.”

Offered on the University of California, San Diego campus in La Jolla, the event will feature a pre-event reception, which includes organic wine tastings, healing food and beverages, and an opportunity to meet Chopra in a small group setting. The ticket price is $150 for the reception and includes preferred seating at main event.

The main event begins at 7pm. General registration is $75.  Following a talk by Chopra, all attendees will receive a generous gift bag, which will include Deepak Chopra’s award-winning book, Super Brain.  Chopra will sign copies of his book at the close of his talk.  Parking is complimentary with each attendee’s registration.
