*Taking Care of Our Community and Our Caregivers*
To support our incredible caregivers on the frontlines of the COVID-19 response, the La Jolla Family House at UC San Diego Health will
temporarily be a sanctuary for healthy UC San Diego Health clinical faculty and staff that need a short-term place to rest, recuperate or shower in between busy hospital shifts. We are all in this together. Thank you to our health care heroes for keeping us safe and healthy!
Introducing the La Jolla Family House at UC San Diego Health
Please note that, due to our temporary COVID-19 response program, we are not open to families right now.
Set to open in 2020, the La Jolla Family House at UC San Diego Health will provide a haven of hope and comfort for families with a loved one in long-term or critical care at UC San Diego Health.
With the recent expansion of UC San Diego Health's medical facilities in La Jolla, we have expanded our ability to accommodate the families of patients seeking care at
Jacobs Medical Center,
Moores Cancer Center and Sulpizio Cardiovascular Center.
The La Jolla Family House is part of a new healthy‐living community within walking distance of our medical facilities in La Jolla. As part of a UC San Diego living learning community, our guests can experience a collaborative environment that includes student housing, fitness centers, affordable dining options and a community of support to help them through a tough time.
The La Jolla Family House offers:
- 25 hotel-style guest rooms
- 15 furnished two-bedroom apartments
- 2 day rooms
- Community lounges
- Community kitchen
- Dining room
- Laundry and shared community areas
- Supportive services
- Tranquility garden
With this new and exciting project comes an opportunity for a visionary partner to help bring a haven of hope and comfort to even more families in need. The La Jolla Family House offers a visible naming opportunity for a $10 million gift and a chance to join a prestigious group of philanthropists who have made a transformative impact on the health of our community.
In addition, a philanthropic gift to name this house will establish a legacy of hope and healing that inspires our community while ensuring our patients and their families receive the very best holistic care.
