Information for Patients: Strike Activity on Feb. 26, 27 and 28

A limited number of our unionized team members will be on strike Wednesday, Feb. 26, Thursday, Feb. 27, and Friday, Feb. 28. Physicians, nurses and other members of your patient care team at UC San Diego Health will not be on strike — they will continue to provide you the highest quality of care and support services during this time. Your care is our highest priority, and we apologize for any disruptions.

We are committed to delivering excellent care and support services during this time. Please be aware of these possible impacts:

  • If you have an appointment at our Hillcrest or La Jolla campuses, please allow extra time for parking.
  • You may see picket lines on the public sidewalks and hear increased noise levels around our La Jolla and Hillcrest Medical Centers.
  • If you experience excessive noise or disruption, please call our We Listen line at 619-543-5678.
  • Due to a higher volume of calls to UC San Diego Health during this time, you may experience longer hold times than usual.
