Coronavirus (COVID-19) updates for UC San Diego Health patients and visitors. Learn More

COVID-19 update: We know that our patients and their families have questions related to care during this time. Please see COVID-19 Information and FAQs for Patients With Cancer for the latest updates.

UC San Diego Health is a high-volume referral center for the treatment of osteosarcoma (bone cancer) and soft-tissue sarcoma.

Your care draws on the expertise of a team of specialists, including orthopedic surgeons, and surgical, medical and radiation oncologists. Together, you receive the best possible care for these rare, complex cancers.

Studies show that patients have better outcomes at high-volume cancer centers, such as UC San Diego Health. There is also research showing that people with sarcoma have better outcomes when treated at an academic medical center, such as UC San Diego Health.

We encourage physician referrals and patient self-referrals to diagnose, stage and treat bone and soft-tissue tumors.
