Receiving a cancer diagnosis can be a moment of personal crisis. UC San Diego surgeons walk side by side with patients, fighting cancer with the latest technologies and skillful, determined multidisciplinary teams.
Operating out of
Moores Cancer Center — the only National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center in San Diego — our surgical oncologists use robotic technology, combined therapies, scarless surgery techniques and other minimally invasive procedures to aggressively fight cancer. At UC San Diego Health, you have access to clinical trials that are redefining the surgical treatment of cancer.
As part of multidisciplinary cancer treatment units, our surgeons work closely with medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists, radiologists, plastic/reconstructive surgeons, genetic counselors, oncology nurses and social workers to provide comprehensive care.
