Treatment for Incontinence and Pelvic Floor Disorders

"World’s Strongest Woman" Beats Weak Bladder At UC San Diego Health

A battle with urinary incontinence severely disrupted Kristin Rhodes' life and intense training schedule. In this video, she describes being on the brink of retiring before the Women's Pelvic Medicine Center had her competing again. (2 min, 18 seconds)

The Women's Pelvic Medicine Center at UC San Diego Health is the region's first center designed exclusively for the diagnosis and treatment of pelvic floor disorders. Since the program's inception in 1998, hundreds of women with conditions such as incontinence and prolapse have found relief here.

Incontinence is one of the most common, yet least discussed, problems among women today. Fortunately, it can be cured or improved with a variety of simple treatments.
