Volunteers at UC San Diego Health Make a Difference

Note: Because of the outpouring of community support, we are not currently accepting applications to volunteer at vaccination sites while we process the applications we have received. The information below is for our ongoing volunteer opportunities at UC San Diego Health hospitals.

UC San Diego Health encourages you to become a volunteer. Our volunteers play an integral role in assisting our staff in their activities of patient care, education and research.

At the same time, many of our volunteers say their experiences at UC San Diego Health have been highly rewarding, personally fulfilling and sometimes life-changing.

Experience is not required; just bring your enthusiasm. You must also:

  • Commit to a minimum of 100 hours of service
  • Be at least 16 years old

Why Volunteer?

"I could tell from my first day that UC San Diego Health works as a team and supports one another in each department while giving safe care. I have never been in a hospital with such positive people."
