Clotting Factor Home Care

Our Hemophilia and Thrombosis Treatment Center launched its own clotting factor home care program, called "Total Hemophilia Care," in 2010.

The UC San Diego Health program is available to all of our patients with hemophilia, von Willebrand Disease and other bleeding disorders.

As a federally funded hemophilia center, our program is authorized and regulated by the Health Resources and Service Administration (HRSA) and is part of the 340B/PHS legislation. HRSA is the primary federal agency for improving access to health care services for people who are uninsured, isolated, or medically vulnerable. Our center is committed to this mandate.

Proceeds from our HRSA-certified clotting factor program ensure funding for the maintenance and expansion of patient programs and comprehensive care support for patients with hemophilia and bleeding disorders. Joining our clotting factor program means investment in personal long-term care, health and well-being.
