Affordable Housing Resources for Individuals with HIV/AIDS

At Owen Clinic, we recognize that a stable home life promotes good physical and mental health. As part of our commitment to whole-person care and well-being, our case managers are available to help our patients assess their living situation and seek options for assistance, if eligible.

Organizations that currently help HIV-positive individuals secure affordable housing, include:

  • Townspeople’s, a community-based non-profit that includes help for individuals living with HIV/AIDS
  • San Diego County’s Housing and Community Services, government-sponsored housing assistance programs, including for individuals with HIV/AIDS, and a Section 8 waiting list
  • Mercy Housing, a nationwide nonprofit that provides affordable, service-enriched housing for families, seniors, and individuals with special needs, including HIV positive individuals
  • Richard’s Place, Inc., a transitional living facility for men living with HIV/AIDS in San Diego
