    Follow-Up Care

When it's time for you to return home, we'll compile a package of information for your personal physician. This information will detail your follow-up care instructions, medications and a translation of the procedures performed while you were our patient. Your personal physician is welcome to contact UC San Diego Health at any time to address any concerns that may arise.

    Second Opinion Medical Records Review

UC San Diego Health offers second opinion medical consults for patients and physicians outside the United States.

Our physicians and surgeons can work directly with your local physician or provide a written summary of our recommendation for your records. A video visit is possible only if the patient requesting a second opinion has a local physician who will be present during the visit.
