Sexual and Vulvar Health

Our team provides expert care for women experiencing vulvar pain or issues related to sexual desire or sexual function. Although these issues are quite common, especially as women age, they are not frequently discussed or properly diagnosed. Fortunately, they can often be cured or improved with simple treatments. Our clinic has state-of-the-art equipment, in-house pelvic floor physical therapy, and staff members who are sensitive to these delicate issues.

Conditions We Treat

The vulva is the external part of a woman's genitals. During their lifetime, many women experience some kind of vulvar pain or pain during sexual intercourse. Sexual health is an important part of a woman's well being. Many women with sexual complaints suffer in silence. We also evaluate and treat issues related to sexual health, including:

  • Pain during intercourse
  • Low libido or lack of sexual desire
  • Difficulty with orgasm

Your First Appointment

Your appointment will include an extended consultation, including detailed medical history and physical exam. Depending on your symptoms, the appointment may also include a more extensive vulvar exam, vulvar biopsy, testing for hormone levels, or evaluation for possible infections.

For your first appointment, we recommend that you bring a list of any symptoms you've experienced, even if you don't think they're related, and a notepad so you can write down important information.
