About Express Care

Express Care is a walk-in option for children and adults. It’s ideal for common health care needs, including sore throats, ear infections and minor injuries. Wellness visits are also available. Care is provided by board-certified nurse practitioners and physician assistants.

About Urgent Care

Urgent Care is for conditions that require medical care within 24 hours, but are not life-threatening, such as sprains, falls, flu and vomiting. The service is available at UC San Diego Health’s La Jolla location or through contracted providers across the county.
