X-Rays

UC San Diego Health offers appointments and walk-in services for X-rays at several locations throughout the county.

X-rays use a small amount of radiation to make images of internal structures within the body. This type of imaging is often used to examine bones or joints, but your doctor may also order them to see organs and other internal structures.

X-Ray Locations and Hours

If you've been referred to Radiology for X-rays, you can walk in or make an appointment at any of our locations listed below. Certain types of X-rays, however, need to be scheduled. Before arriving for a walk-in exam, please call the location to ensure an appointment is not required.

All X-ray locations are closed on university-observed holidays, except for César Chávez Day. (See a list of holiday closures.)

X-Ray Results and Image Requests

A report describing your imaging results will be sent to the Test Results section of your MyUCSDChart account. You can access your images from the Linked Information button at the bottom of the Results page. If you do not have a MyUCSDChart account, if you need copies of the images themselves, or if you need to request past records, contact Radiology at 619-543-6586 or digitallibrary@health.ucsd.edu.
