Nursing Organization Rates UC San Diego Medical Center in Top 100

UC San Diego Medical Center was one of only ten hospitals in the entire state of California to be listed in the 2009 “Top 100 Hospitals to Work For” created by Nursing Professionals magazine.  The magazine surveyed nurses to measure job satisfaction for this highly competitive list.

In 2008, Nursing Professionals magazine surveyed 25,000 randomly selected nurses at hospitals across the country to determine their level of job satisfaction.  They were asked a variety of questions ranging from personal training and development to family-friendly environment to flexible working arrangements.

We deliver the highest level of service in providing for our patients’ health, well- being and quality of life,” said Kathleen Kuttler, RN, CCRN, CPAN.

Nursing Professionals is a new magazine that offers career advice primarily for nursing graduates entering the profession.  The first issue will debut in the spring of 2009 and will be published twice a year.
