The multidisciplinary burn center team at UC San Diego Health responds to the complex medical issues experienced by burn patients. Our burn center is a verified level 1 pediatric and adult burn center by the American College of Surgeons and American Burn Association. We provide leading-edge treatment to residents of San Diego and Imperial Counties who have experienced
major or minor burns and critical soft tissue conditions.
Each year we
admit approximately 450 burn victims and treat hundreds more as
outpatients in the burn clinics.
Our specialized staff has advanced training in the sophisticated and skilled care needed by seriously injured patients and includes experts in:

The Regional Burn Center provides comprehensive care to burn patients from resuscitation in the burn intensive care unit, through rehabilitation in outpatient clinics. We are committed to caring for people touched by burn injury through numerous
support programs for patients and families.
