CAO, Medicine, Dermatology, Family Medicine and Faculty Primary Care
Jeffrey Schlosser is the chief administrative officer over medicine, family medicine, primary care, dermatology, hyperbaric medicine and wound care at UC San Diego Health. He is responsible for the day-to-day hospital and ambulatory operations for these service lines, partnering with physician faculty leaders to implement strategic priorities to improve the clinical mission.
Mr. Schlosser began working at UC San Diego Health in 2018. Before his current role, he served as the senior director of medical specialties. He was instrumental in building the ambulatory operational infrastructure and implementing a successful dyad faculty and administrator leadership model. In addition, Mr. Schlosser collaborated with cross-team leadership to build infrastructure that measured demand analytics to improve community access to outpatient care.
He has extensive experience in health care leadership roles. Before coming to UC San Diego Health, Mr. Schlosser served as the western United States regional vice president at Kindred Rehabilitation Inc. for over five years. He also served as the Medical Group senior director at DaVita and was the southern California group director over hospital kidney care operations.
Mr. Schlosser is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He is a licensed physical therapist and holds a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the State University of New York at Buffalo and D’Youville College. He also holds multiple Six-Sigma certifications. Mr. Schlosser is a proud father of two daughters and a French bulldog.
